The US elections are very close now and looking back on what happened last time I feel I have to do something. Even though I am not a US citizen or not even on the American continent, the outcome of the elections does effect my life (or parts of it) so I feel I can and should have an opinion.

First let me say that earlier, I would have liked to see Hillary in the white house. That had much to do with knowing how her husband approached things and the belief Hillary wouldn't have been much different. I think we can all agree that the US nation prospered under Bill Clinton and therefore I had faith in Hillary.

However, since Obama became the nominee for the democrats my trust in him has grown. He has shown to be consistent, rational and able to react calmly to critical situations. And possibly even more important, he has the ability to repair the damaged relations and image of america in the rest of the world. And I think that is what America needs; a leader who is seen as wise and one that people take seriously, instead of a new version of what you have now.

The last thing America and the rest of the world need right now more US wars, and it sounds like McCain is eager to start some. Don't get me wrong, sometimes intervention or self defense is necessairy, but it should only be used when all others options are exhausted, and I feel McCain might jump the gun when elected.

And even though Biden says weird things sometimes, I think he knows what he is doing politically. Much more than Palin, who worries me by not even being able to explain correctly what the role of the vice-president is.

All in all, I strongly believe Obama is the best choice. So for the sake of the United States and the rest of the world I would like to ask all US citizens to

VOTE OBAMA!
